Annual Battle of the Praise Bands


Every year, Coastal Christian High School gives the community a chance to unite in praise and worship together under one roof. The Battle of the Praise Bands  began in the summer of 2006 and has become a tradition among Wilmington's teens and families.  It is an event that involves high school praise bands from area churches that compete by performing two of their favorite worship songs for the audience and a panel of judges.  There is audience participation and a great prize for the winning band.  Each year's attendance has been amazing.  This event is made possible by the generous giving of local churches, businesses, and individuals.  The funds from this event help provide tuition assistance for a number of deserving students who are seeking a Christ-centered education.  The date for this year's event is June 5, 2010.

  • $30,000 raised for 2008/09 scholarships
