CCHS is designed to inspire students by developing and fostering a connection with God the creator through exploration of our gift of creativity. CCHS provides beginning, intermediate, and advanced students with a solid understanding of creative processes and techniques that can be used to create works of art. The visual art courses will provide a foundation for students that wish to enjoy art as a hobby as well as students that will pursue art as a career. Each student will also improve their ability of observation and visual organization along with an improved vocabulary for articulating aesthetic ideas. Visual art courses include Art 1, Honors Drawing and Painting, Honors Sculpture and Ceramics, Honors Studio Art, and AP Art and Design. Each year CCHS art students participate in the ACSI Art Fine Art Competition and have earned the following awards:
